WHEN DID YOU SHOOT YOUR FIRST WEDDING AT EVERSHOLT HALL?
May 2019 – the first wedding I shot here was actually for one of my old work colleagues (fun fact – before I was a wedding photographer I used to work in the food industry!), and from there I went on to build my contacts and portfolio at Eversholt which led to me becoming a recommended supplier at this beautiful venue.
WHY DO YOU LOVE SHOOTING AT EVERSHOLT HALL?
I feel very lucky to have such an amazing venue just a 20 minute drive from home! The setting is so idyllic – I love the village and being in the heart of the countryside gives me a real feeling of escapism for the day. I love the privacy of it all – because it is an exclusive hire venue, you know that there are going to be no interruptions or people staring during the photos, which really helps everyone to feel comfortable and relaxed. The fact that the decor is so personalised for every wedding as well is great, as I never know what to expect and end up getting a lot of variety in my photos. Eversholt Hall is also a family run business, so as a recommended supplier it is great to have that personal contact with the team who are so helpful and lovely to work with. Vicki the wedding coordinator is brilliant and ensures that everything runs smoothly throughout the day.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE AREA FOR COUPLES’ PORTRAITS AT EVERSHOLT HALL?
If you have limited time or want to stay at the venue, the cricket green at the front of the building is the perfect backdrop for photos, with the beautiful village church in the background. But there is also a lot of opportunity close by if you are keen to get some different shots – there are many picturesque fields and wooded areas, and some couples even like to take a short drive to the nearby town of Woburn for some quiet time and couples’ photos during the drinks reception.
ANY TOP TIPS FOR GETTING THE MOST OUT OF OUR WEDDING PHOTOS AT EVERSHOLT HALL?
Eversholt Hall is wonderful because you really can make it your own, so I would definitely advise spending some time really thinking about the theme and how you could use lighting, flowers and props to make the space beautiful and truly unique to you – your decor will form the backdrop of all of your indoor photos, so you want it to be special and to reflect your favourite colours and themes. There is also a really nice balcony area adorned with flowers which is the perfect spot for some romantic shots of just the two of you, so take some time out (with me!) to visit this area.
